How do I create an email address at my domain? Print

  • 0

Create it in cPanel, under Email Accounts.

  1. Log in to cPanel from the client area.
  2. In the Email section, open Email Accounts.
  3. Choose Create.
  4. If your account has more than one domain, pick the domain.
  5. Type the username, which is the part before the @ sign.
  6. Set a password, or use Generate to have a strong one made for you. Save it somewhere safe.
  7. If you want to limit the mailbox's size, set its storage space under Optional Settings.
  8. Choose Create.

The new address appears in the Email Accounts list.

How many you can have

Starter includes 10 mailboxes, Business 25 and Professional 50. Stored email counts toward your plan's storage, so a mailbox that keeps years of large attachments uses real space.

Before mail will arrive

Mail for your domain is delivered wherever your domain's mail records point. If your email is handled somewhere else today, such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, a mailbox created here receives nothing until those records are changed, and you may not want to change them. If you are not sure, open a ticket before you switch anything.
