Open Email Accounts in cPanel and choose Manage next to the mailbox. The password and the storage space are both set on that page.
- Log in to cPanel.
- In the Email section, open Email Accounts.
- Next to the mailbox, choose Manage.
- Type a new password, or change the storage space.
- Choose Update Email Settings.
You do not need the old password to set a new one, so this is the fix when a staff member forgets theirs.
After a password change, every phone, tablet and computer that checks that mailbox needs the new password. Until you update them, they keep asking for it or show a sign-in error.
If a mailbox is full
A full mailbox cannot take in new mail. Delete old messages, especially ones with large attachments, or raise the storage space on the Manage page. The total across all mailboxes still has to fit in your plan's storage. If mail is still not arriving after you have made room, open a ticket.
Removing a mailbox
The Manage page also has Delete Email Account. Deleting a mailbox removes the mail in it, so save anything you need first.
