No. Free SSL is included on every plan, and the certificate is issued and renewed for you.
SSL is what puts the padlock in the browser and https at the start of your address. It protects what visitors type into your site, such as passwords and checkout details.
A certificate can only be issued for a domain that already points at your hosting account. So for a new account, or a site we have moved for you, the padlock follows after the domain is pointed here. You do not need to request it, and there is nothing to renew or pay.
Checking it yourself
- Log in to cPanel.
- In the Security section, open SSL/TLS Status.
- Each of your domains is listed with the state of its certificate.
If your browser says Not Secure
First check that the domain points here and that a day has passed since you changed it. If the warning is still there, open a ticket and tell us the exact address that shows the warning.
