From January 1, 2027, a TPT seller is either Exclusive, which pays 77.5% and means your digital teaching resources are sold only on TPT, or Basic, which pays 55% less a 30 cent fee on every resource and lets you sell anywhere.
These are TPT's published terms as of October 2026:
- Premium ends. The 80% Premium membership ends December 31, 2026.
- Exclusive. 77.5% payout and $59.95 a year. Premium sellers must opt in by December 31, 2026 at 11:59pm ET. On a $10 sale you keep $7.75.
- Basic. 55% payout, a 30 cent fee on every resource, and a one-time $29. Premium sellers who do nothing become Basic on January 1. On a $10 sale you keep $5.20.
- Changing your mind. You can leave Exclusive for Basic at any time. The annual fee is not refunded, and there is a one-year wait before you can rejoin.
The choice comes down to how much you sell outside TPT. If nearly all your income is on TPT, Exclusive pays more. Basic comes out ahead only when you already sell a meaningful amount elsewhere. If you sell a membership that includes your resources, Exclusive does not allow it. Put your own numbers in the free calculator.
