Use the settings cPanel shows for that mailbox under Email Accounts, then Connect Devices. They are the exact server names and port numbers for your account.
Find your settings
- Log in to cPanel.
- In the Email section, open Email Accounts.
- Find the mailbox and choose Connect Devices.
- Under Mail Client Manual Settings, use the box marked Secure SSL/TLS Settings.
That box lists the username, the incoming server, the outgoing server and the port for each. At the bottom of the same page you can have the settings emailed to you.
Enter them in your mail app
- Add a new account and choose Other, or manual setup.
- Choose IMAP when asked. IMAP keeps mail on the server, so your phone and computer show the same mailbox.
- Enter your full email address as the username, for both incoming and outgoing mail.
- Enter the mailbox password.
- Copy the server names and ports exactly as cPanel shows them.
If it will not connect, check three things. The username must be the whole address, not only the part before the @. The outgoing server needs the same username and password as the incoming one. And the password is the mailbox password, not your client area password.
